This year, our first participating in the overseas Flagship program, we sent a whopping six students to Saint Petersburg, Russia. The group represents a wide range of ages, interests, talents, and backgrounds. Two of the students are native Russian speakers. Two have come back to school after having worked for a few years. Career specializations run the gamut from business to art and from linguistics to politics and education.
At this point, everyone seems to have found their feet and taken off with their classes and direct-enroll courses as well as internships, hobbies, and travel. Over the course of the rest of the year, I will attempt to track down and post a few adventures and opinions.
